About the role
This position is based in West Burlington (3-4 days per week) and Keokuk (1-2 days per week) Provides accurate and timely information to visitors and callers. Responsibilities include pre-certifying with insurance companies, filing, scheduling, maintaining records in the Electronic Medical Record system, processing patient specimens, and direct patient care. This role assists providers with office procedures. Administrative tasks include scheduling appointments, billing, coding, and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties include taking and recording vital signs, documenting medical histories, preparing patients for exams, drawing blood, and administering medications under physician or advanced practice provider direction. Adaptability to varied tasks is essential.

- Certified Medical Assistant Required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support & First Aid - American Heart Association within 60 Days Required
- Child Abuse Iowa Mandatory Reporter - Iowa Department of Human Services within 180 Days Required
- Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter - Iowa Department of Human Services within 180 Days Required
- 1-3 years experience in a medical office Preferred
