About the role
The Grounds Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing grounds and rest area maintenance duties in accordance with the established contract schedule, requirements, and standards. This position ensures assigned grounds are clean, safe, well-maintained, and present a professional appearance at all times. The employee will operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment, perform landscaping and irrigation maintenance, remove debris, and complete routine grounds care activities. The position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely operate mowing, trimming, and other grounds maintenance equipment.
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in grounds maintenance.
- Experience with irrigation systems, tractors, mowing equipment, and related grounds maintenance equipment required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable background and security requirements, which may include:
- Office of Personnel Management/Federal Investigative Services Security Clearance &ndash
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
- Perform basic grounds maintenance and landscaping duties.
- Perform basic irrigation system maintenance and repairs.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Follow contract specifications, schedules, and established quality standards.
- Work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
