About the role
, part of the Murgado Automotive Group, is hiring a full-time Apprentice Automotive Technician for our busy and growing service department in Libertyville, IL. This is an on-site opportunity for technicians with 1 to 3 years of automotive repair experience who want steady work, hands-on training, and the opportunity to grow with a supportive dealership team. You will perform maintenance, inspections, and light to moderate repairs while building your diagnostic skills and working with modern tools, dealership repair procedures, and an experienced service team. This position pays $18 to $22 per hour , based on experience, skills, and qualifications. We are looking for motivated technicians who are ready to grow, learn, and contribute in a shop that stays busy.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic to intermediate diagnostic, troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical repair skills.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and service information systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Honda experience and ASE certifications are a plus, but we welcome motivated technicians who are eager to learn and continue developing their automotive career.
- 1 to 3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician in a dealership or automotive repair facility preferred.
- ASE certification or Honda manufacturer certification is a plus.
