About the role
Smoker & Company LLC is seeking an experienced and highly organized Individual Tax Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the individual tax team in our Lititz, PA office. This role is responsible for supervising workflow, reviewing individual income tax returns, mentoring interns and seasonal staff, supporting client service, and helping the department meet quality, productivity, and deadline goals. This is an opportunity to play an important leadership role in the continued growth and success of the individual tax department. The Individual Tax Supervisor will directly impact team production, client service, training consistency, workflow efficiency, and the development of future talent within Smoker & Company LLC.
What you'll bring
- Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of management, supervisory, or team-lead experience.
- Strong working knowledge of individual income tax preparation, review, compliance, and related tax research.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced tax season environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA license or Enrolled Agent credential.
- Experience supervising interns, seasonal staff, or tax preparers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax preparation or workflow management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
