About the role

Join Olsson's Industrial Environmental team as a Project Manager II and be part of creating innovative solutions that drive positive changes in communities. In this role, you will apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields. The project manager II role oversees project deliverables and completion for small-to-mid-sized projects within a single discipline or defined area, low-risk multidisciplinary projects for the team, or in support of a larger project management team. This position is involved in the full project life cycle and is responsible for ensuring timely completion of projects in accordance with established scope, schedule, and budget. This role leads the successful delivery of projects that provide purposeful, high-quality solutions to successfully solve engineering and design needs. Working collaboratively with others. Having ownership in the work you do. Using your talents to positively affect communities.

What you'll bring

  • A minimum of six years of project experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry with increasing responsibility.
  • May have Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent Project Management certification or degree.
  • Adept in and manages projects in accordance with Olsson’s PM Statement of Expectations.
  • Adept in engineering and design terms, contract requirements, project financials, and operations.
  • Has excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Solid interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to generate innovative and effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Has high-level organization, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Detailed understanding of how the firm operates as a consulting business and how this role contributes to the success of the organization.
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required.
  • Represents Olsson in a professional manner at all times.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related area preferred.
