About the role
The Helicopter Chief Pilot is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of all helicopter flight operations, including utility, external load, patrol, and project-based field operations. This position ensures full compliance with FAA Part 135 regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture and maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and efficiency. The Chief Pilot serves as the FAA-designated Chief Pilot and is responsible for operational control oversight in accordance with Part 135. This role includes supervising and developing pilots, managing flight schedules, coordinating with maintenance and ground operations teams, and supporting company growth through safe and efficient execution of flight operations.
What you'll bring
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a helicopter pilot, with 3 years of the last 5 years within Part 135 operations.
- Minimum 3,000 hours Helicopter Pilot in Command (PIC).
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in aviation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or a related field preferred.
