About the role
The Sr Buyer for Switchboards manages the day-to-day execution required to keep production lines running. You will own purchase order execution, supplier commitment tracking, and ERP data management. This role focuses on relentless daily expediting and operational outcome. While the Sr Global Supply Manager leads category strategy and negotiations, you drive the weekly cadence and supplier follow-ups necessary to prevent line stops. This role is based out of our Long Beach facility at 6015 Obispo Ave, Long Beach, CA 90805 and will require occasional travel to suppliers and other Giga sites. What you'll bring
- 4+ years in purchasing or supply chain execution
- Proficiency in managing high-volume POs within an ERP system
- Proven ability to expedite late orders through persistent follow-up and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret BOMs and technical specs to ensure order accuracy
- Strong communication skills and experience with spreadsheets for data tracking
- preferably in industrial manufacturing
