The Office of Fiscal Management has central responsibility and authority for financial management, resource maximization. Finance helps to ensure that programs and administrative operations have the information, analysis, funding and technical capacity to deliver critical services effectively and meet DOHMH's objectives. What you'll bring
- We seek candidates with a strong background in accounting, which is essential, and public sector financial management experience (in particular, City government experience).
- Familiarity with accounting practices and DOHMH payment and accrual systems and an understanding of the city's financial management systems and PASSPort (city of New York’s digital procurement platform).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial tracking systems.
- Excellent communication skills for provider and internal coordination
- Requires responsiveness, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- This position will be hired through a staffing agency.
- You must live in the New York City Tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) to be considered for a position at FPHNY.
- Experience in payment processing, auditing, or financial compliance preferred.
