About the role
Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for an experienced construction Quantity Surveyor / Estimator on behalf of our client, a successful and growing construction business. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about project cost management and wants to make a significant impact in delivering high-quality construction projects. You will be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and managing budgets throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure that each project is completed on time and within budget.
What you'll bring
- Construction industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator is required.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Proficient in estimation and quantity surveying software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite is ideal.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience with contract law and construction regulations is a plus.
