About the role
Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator/Specialist needed at a manufacturing plant. Excellent benefits provided. This job is in Mattoon, IL. Please do not apply if you will need visa sponsorship of any kind, either now or in the future. You will be responsible for guiding safety, health, and environmental initiatives at the company.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree, in Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Health and Safety.
- Two-year degrees may be considered with good experience.
- One or two years' experience with a four year degree, in a manufacturing environment.
- More experience is necessary with a two year degree.
- Must have experience in an EHS role with a manufacturing company.
- Military and other experience in workplace safety will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Internships or co-op experience are great pluses.
- Must have excellent skills with MS Office tools for the purpose of writing reports, communication by email, analyzing statistics, developing PowerPoint presentations.
- Some knowledge about Behavior Based Safety programs.
- Must be willing to work in a factory/manufacturing environment.
