About the role

We are seeking a successful Component Analyst to perform any combination of the following tasks in support of the evaluation and disposition of various electronic and mechanical components used in the production of electronics assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, cable/harness assemblies, electronics rack-mount systems/chassis, circuit card assemblies, and other similar-complexity assemblies for the defense industry.

• The task involves supporting the material handling processes associated with incoming material bound for warehousing and production including providing primary support for Suspended Material (discrepant material) requiring technical dispositioning to support program and production needs.
• This candidate will also support the Package and Handling processes and characteristics which dictate the manner in which material is managed and handled from receipt to final assembly including, for example, the handling of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Moisture (MSL) sensitive electronic components, mechanical components with Shelf-Life requirements and the packaging requirements (tape & reel, tubes, special packaging for mechanical items, etc.) for many types of components.
• This is an onsite position based in McKinney, Texas - but requires the ability to periodically commute between any of our multiple North Texas warehouse locations (currently McKinney, Carrollton, Plano, and Richardson), as business priorities mandate.
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
• Experience with the warehousing, handling, and quality control of components (electrical and mechanical)
• Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and hierarchy definition
• Familiarity with PDM systems and the quality corrective action processes as applied to components
• Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military, and aerospace flight applications
• Data collection and presentation experience to adequately discuss system impact of component issues
