About the role
Uptalent.io, a dynamic platform focused on connecting exceptional talent with innovative companies, is seeking a Remote Technology Designer specializing in Structured Cabling and Low Voltage Systems. Responsibilities Design and documentation of low voltage systems , including: • Structured cabling (voice/data networks) • Access control • Audio/visual (A/V) • CCTV / security systems • Wireless infrastructure Coordinate with architectural, electrical, and IT teams. Prepare drawings, specifications, and detailed layouts for low voltage systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, etc.). Review submittals and support construction administration when required. Requirements • RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification preferred (not mandatory but highly valued). • 5+ years of experience in technology systems design , ideally for commercial, institutional, or mixed-use projects. • Experience in science and technology projects including cleanrooms, laboratories, specialized manufacturing facilities, and other spaces with distinct and highly specific requirements. • Revit and Cad knowledge • Experience with U.S. projects and standards . • Fluent in English and advanced communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision. What you'll bring
- 5+ years of experience in technology systems design
