About the role
The Welder is responsible for performing welding operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in accordance with production specifications. This role may include operating automated equipment, performing manual welding, and working with various materials depending on the area of assignment.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in one or more welding processes relevant to the specialization.
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Knowledge of weld symbols, tolerances, and metallurgy basics.
- Familiarity with welding inspection tools (calipers, gauges, microscopes, weld cameras).
- Experience with weld process optimization (adjusting parameters to reduce defects).
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical training, or certifications are preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- AWS (American Welding Society) certification.
