About the role

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be located onsite in Minden, LA and reports to Maintenance Supervisor. This role is needed for the Department of Defense and OSHA regulated energetic materials and explosives manufacturing operation supporting defense and aerospace customers and is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

What you'll bring

  • High school diploma with 7+ years of direct experience in industrial maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, starters, VFDs, and ability to run conduit and wiring
  • Basic understanding of PLCs and control systems, including ability to assist with troubleshooting, Input/Output checks, and work with external controls support
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
  • Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance and maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team within a fast-paced, high-hazard manufacturing environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods in an outdoor industrial environment
  • Ability to work in a high-hazard explosive manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and explosives
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including flame-resistant clothing and other safety equipment, and comply with site-specific requirements such as end-of-day showering
  • Ability to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses
  • Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including minimum age requirements (21 and over), a drug-free workplace in compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §§ 8101–8106), Executive Order 12564 (Drug-Free Federal Workplace), applicable Department of Defense directives including DoD Instruction 1010.09 and DFARS 252.226-7003 and successful completion of any legally required background investigations.
