About the role
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Fosters a culture of accountability essential to promoting a professional nursing environment and recognizes opportunities for process improvement which achieve positive patient outcomes. Responsible for all testing requiring nursing monitoring such as EKG, Echocardiograms, and administration of medications. Supervises subordinates to ensure patient safety standards are attained. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
What you'll bring
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in critical care, ED or OR
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
- 1 BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
- 1 ACLS
- Candidate will need to have experience in the Cath Lab circulating procedures.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience
