About the role
11th Grade SAT & Postsecondary Preparation Teacher At KIPP New Jersey, our mission is to prepare our students to change the world. We believe that a bachelor’s degree is a powerful pathway to professional and personal success for many students — and we also recognize that strong career-aligned pathways can provide meaningful, upwardly mobile outcomes for students who choose a non-college route. The 11th Grade SAT Prep Teacher plays a critical role in preparing students for postsecondary success by building the academic readiness, test performance, and postsecondary awareness required to make strong choices in 12th grade and beyond. This role focuses on two core areas: SAT preparation (via Winward Academy) and academic skill-building, and guided exploration and planning through the postsecondary wishlist-building process. The CCR Teacher ensures students are academically prepared to meet key SAT benchmarks for high school graduation readiness (890), college readiness (1010), and competitive postsecondary programs (1250+), while also supporting students to develop a clear, informed postsecondary plan aligned to their strengths, interests, and goals. This role requires strong content knowledge, skilled data-driven instruction, and the ability to motivate and support diverse learners toward ambitious outcomes.
