- The Academic Interventionist is a specialized assignment whose primary purpose is to improve academic achievement for all students who have been identified as at-risk of failing.
- The Academic Interventionist provides detailed documentation of student progress and develops supplementary education that serves as a companion to the general curriculum.
- The Academic Interventionist teacher will analyze assessment data and provide “real-time” push-in and pull-out research-based interventions in the core curricular areas of English Language Arts and Math.
- The Academic Interventionist must collaborate with the general classroom teacher(s) and parents regarding student support.
- Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- A New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS)
- Knowledge and experience in implementing Response to Intervention
- Knowledge and experience in the development and evaluation of academic interventions
- Master’s Degree Preferred
