About the role
The Area Director – Merit Badges, Field Trips, and Custom Reservations will oversee the curriculum development, program delivery/operations, and assign staffing for merit badge classes, field trip outings with local Elementary Schools, custom group activity reservations, and facility room rentals in teamwork with the Sr. Program Director and our Sales Team. Serves with a major responsibility for customer service, outreach/promotion, curriculum development, Staff/Instructor training and development, Staff scheduling, class and Staff supervision, and class/activity scheduling. Ensures that Newport Sea Base programs meet the highest health and safety standards. Enforce National Scouting America policies, all state and local boating safety laws, and environmental regulations, as applicable. Reports directly to the NSB Sr. Program Director.
What you'll bring
- Must be at least 21 years old, have CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Must know how to swim, and prepare for Red Cross Lifeguard Certification if not attained already.
