About the role
The Mental Health Therapist provides clinical counseling services to children, youth, and families. This position delivers comprehensive clinical care through mental health assessments, short- and long-term therapy, case management, care coordination, and crisis intervention. As a key member of the Behavioral Health team, the Mental Health Therapist plays an important role in supporting clients, families, and the broader community through culturally responsive and evidence-based services.
What you'll bring
- Master’s degree in a human services field.
- Current Washington State licensure or associate licensure as an LICSW, LSWAIC, LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, or LMFTA.
- At least one year of relevant experience working with children, youth, and/or families.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform.
- Must satisfactorily pass a tuberculosis screening.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State driver’s license, or be able to obtain one by the date of employment.
- Employees and volunteers who operate a personal or Friends of Youth vehicle for agency business must maintain a safe driving record, as defined by Friends of Youth.
- Employees and volunteers who use a personal vehicle for Friends of Youth business must maintain auto liability insurance that meets Friends of Youth requirements.
- Must successfully complete CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification requirements within 30 days of employment.
