About the role
This role supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Darwin Family Violence programs during evening, overnight and weekend shifts. You will work closely with Specialist Family Violence Practitioners and the Team Leader to respond to immediate needs, assist with safety planning and support client‑led case plans. You will help coordinate support across refuge, emergency accommodation and outreach settings, maintain accurate records and contribute to a safe, organised and welcoming environment. This permanent part‑time position is for 15.2 hours a week within the Family Violence Service. Pay is in accordance with a SCHADS Level 4 and reports to the Team Leader.
What you'll bring
- Certificate IV in social work, welfare, community development or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in the social services sector
- Understanding of family violence frameworks, risk assessment and safety planning
- Ability to work independently during after‑hours shifts while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Commitment to trauma‑informed and client‑centred practice
- Ability to work respectfully with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Valid NT Working with Children’s Check (Ochre Card)
