Genesee Lake School and Prader-Willi Homes , both MyPath Companies, are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this essential role, you'll help ensure the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our facilities while creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment for the individuals we support and our team members. We are looking for a dependable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to support building operations, grounds upkeep, and equipment maintenance at our residential and school programs.
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum one year of maintenance or facilities experience required.
- Ability to maintain a calm and effective demeanor in emergency and stressful situations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, instructions, and blueprints.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to work in varied environments, including, but not limited to exposure to cleaning products, tools, and seasonal weather.
- Preferred experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, floor care, cleaning, snow removal and boiler maintenance.
