About the role

VFS Fire & Security Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Service Technician to support our Fire Alarm Services team. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, servicing, programming, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm and life safety systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.

What you'll bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of fire alarm service experience
• Experience working with and programming fire alarm control panels
• Familiarity with fire alarm panels such as Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire‑Lite, Edwards, Siemens, Simplex, or similar systems
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable local fire codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system documentation
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and low‑voltage systems
• Good organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level I or II
