About the role
The Retail Store Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer services to all customers who come in to visit our onsite retail store. This role works with direct salesmanship, and prompt and courteous service; completing transactions in a quick and efficient manner, minimizing delays to customers; developing thorough knowledge of all merchandize carried by Benchmade in the stores, catalogs and websites offering selection guidance to customers. This position will perform all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assignment by management. This position is a part-time role. Because the role supports operations during peak weekend periods, availability on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is required.
What you'll bring
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent, and 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role is required.
- Equivalency to the qualification standard will also be considered.
- Positive attitude and customer service friendly with a passion for excellence is required.
- Solid communications skills with a demonstrated ability to speak read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents as well as converse professionally with all customers.
- Handle money, refunds and exchanges with a high level of accuracy at the register
- Quickly and accurately place orders for knives and collect payment
- provide receipt for all transactions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
- Learn new technologies as they become available
- Cross train and work in other areas of store/company as needed
- Experience with cash handling is preferred
