One of our most recent wins includes Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise. AECOM has been named preferred bidder for one of two Primary Designers on this transformational, multi-billion-pound programme. It is the highest value venture ever put into place by Scottish Water and will reshape Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure from 2027 to 2033 (with potential to extend for another 6 years). AECOM will be at the heart of this ground-breaking delivery model, shaping design excellence at scale and working with Scottish Water and our Enterprise Partners to help drive outcomes that deliver value for customers in Scotland and go beyond net zero. This is a major win for AECOM and a powerful endorsement of our expertise, giving us a fantastic opportunity to deliver long-term, meaningful work that has large scale impact for communities across Scotland. Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Principal Mechanical Engineer in one of our Scotland offices – whilst also taking advantage of work from home days through our hybrid work approach.
What you'll bring
- Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
- A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Be a Chartered Engineer with a relevant institution, such as IMechE
- A proven ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specifications, and calculations with confidence and precision
- Hands-on experience in delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater engineering projects
