About the role
The UVM Health Medical Group Director is responsible for the operational performance of multiple sites across UVMH. For the assigned practices and services, the Directors is responsible for translating UVMH strategy into, and coaching leaders responsible for, day-to-day operational execution. A focus on operational metrics and outcomes from a patient and clinician perspective are critical to success. This individual leads a group of people leaders ensuring consistent execution of workflows, staffing models, and clinic operations. This role partners with Division Chiefs, Site Leaders, and Department Leadership to drive reliable, efficient operations aligned with Medical Group standards and system priorities. This is a highly execution-focused role, requiring strong day-to-day operational presence across multiple locations and geographies, with accountability to deliver consistent performance, improved access, and efficient medical group practice operations. This role requires regular travel between sites and will oversee the AHMC and CVPH Primary Care Clinics, as well as the University of Vermont Health Dental Clinics, ensuring operational excellence, quality patient care, and strategic alignment across all practice locations.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, or related field required.
- Must have a minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in management.
- if assigned to UVMMC campus
- At least 3 years of experience in health care operational management.
- Preference for experience leading and managing teams across sites or service lines.
