About the role
Performs a variety of work connected with the operations, inspections, and maintenance of combustion turbine sites. Performs varied mechanical, basic electrical and basic control and instrument maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain the generation facilities. This role is open at our Sheboygan Falls Generating Station in Plymouth, WI. As our generation increases in solar, we anticipate additional support from our Simple Cycle power plants. This is a bargaining position and is designated as a "Project Position." As such, there is a point where the project will end (up to 30 months approximately). At the end of this project, you will have return rights or can stay in the position if it becomes a regular option. This position works the evening schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
What you'll bring
- Travel time from your primary residence to your assigned headquarters must be 60 minutes or less under normal driving conditions.
- Associate Degree Electrical, mechanical or instrument and control technical college Required
- Required Experience • 4 years’ experience in any one or a combination of the electrical, or instrument and control trades or completed apprenticeship
- or 2 years of Combustion Turbine maintenance and operation experience.
- Up to date demonstrated electrical or instrument and control experience required.
- Other Requirements • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Employees in this job classification are covered by the Residency Policy and will be required to live within 60 minutes of their headquarters.
