If so, then the Project Engineer position with VDL Steelweld, USA headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan may be something for you. Our project engineers are responsible for the realization and oversight of technically complex projects. What you'll bring
- 4-year degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of operational experience but more is better
- Required software packages and tools (Office, 2D & 3D design software, customer-specific software)
- Standards and Customer specifications
- Statutory guidelines and regulations (CE/UL)
- Safety Issues and ergonomics
- Joining techniques: Spot welding, arc welding, sealing, riveting, robotic applications, etc.
- Global knowledge of the other professional fields in order to guarantee integral optimization.
- Clear communication in English (Written and spoken)
- Communication and social skills and their application in practice
- Following up with suppliers in the areas of engineering, delivery and quality.
- Evaluating supplier quotes in terms of engineering, content, price, and delivery.
