About the role

At Heights Church, we are looking for a hands-on, dependable Facilities & Maintenance Team Member who sees caring for our locations as an opportunity to serve others. Every hallway, classroom, gathering space, and outdoor area helps create an environment where people can encounter God, build relationships, and grow in their faith. Our Facilities Team is committed to stewarding what God has entrusted to us. By handling as much maintenance and upkeep as possible in-house, we are able to wisely care for the church's resources so that more can be invested directly into ministry and reaching people. This is more than a maintenance position—it's a ministry of hospitality and stewardship. We're looking for someone with a servant's heart, a strong work ethic, and a genuine sense of accomplishment in doing excellent work. The person in this role helps create a welcoming, safe, and well-cared-for spaces where every person who walks onto our locations feels valued and every ministry has the opportunity to flourish. As a Facilities & Maintenance Team Member, you'll help create spaces where people can worship, connect, and grow.

What you'll bring

  • We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in a job well done, and finds satisfaction in serving others through excellent stewardship.
  • The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and sees every repair—big or small—as an opportunity to care for the people who call Heights Church home.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds.
  • Experience or comfort performing general maintenance, including painting, basic plumbing, and basic electrical repairs.
  • Computer proficiency, including the ability to use Slack and calendar applications for communication and scheduling.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to work at both Heights Church Locations.
  • A proactive eye for detail and a willingness to address maintenance needs before they become larger problems.
  • We value character, teachability, and a desire/willingness to learn.
  • We're happy to provide training.
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity, integrity, humility, discretion, and sound judgment.
