About the role
Our Compression / BOP Team is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business, and we are seeking a Compression Engineer. This position will provide support to compression facilities in the region that utilize a variety of compression equipment including reciprocating units and turbine/centrifugal compressor units. The position will also support balance of plant (BOP) equipment within the facility including air systems, piping and valves, tanks and other systems required for reliable operation of the facility. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of a variety of industrial equipment used in gas compression systems. This position will be responsible for the support of all mechanical equipment at the assigned compressor stations. What you'll bring
- BS or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 6+ years industry experience with natural gas compression facilities or similar equipment
- Previously demonstrated dedication to safety
- Ability and initiative to work independently, display creativity, and exercise sound judgement
- Demonstrated superior organizational skills and proven ability to manage projects within scope and budget
- Effective analytical skills
- Skills to effectively operate in a team-oriented environment with a willingness to support team objectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work closely with field teams, management, third party resources, and coordinate work with other appropriate technical resources
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle rapidly shifting priorities and multiple projects concurrently, requiring resolution of complex problems in stressful situations
- In-depth knowledge of reciprocating and turbine drive compressor units and ancillary equipment
