About the role

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Redwood City, CA for the 2026–2027 school year. As a school-based Social Worker, you'll help students address social, emotional, behavioral, family, and environmental factors that may affect their ability to access and participate successfully in their education.

What you'll bring

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited social work program
• Current or eligible for appropriate California Social Work licensure (LMSW/LCSW or other applicable credential based on the position)
• Completion of required supervised practicum/fieldwork as part of an accredited social work program
• Knowledge of IEPs, IDEA, special education processes, and behavior intervention planning
• Understanding of child and adolescent development and social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Ability to provide individual and group interventions appropriate to the educational environment
• Knowledge of community resources and the ability to connect students and families with appropriate supports
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in the use of technology for documentation, communication, and educational purposes
• Ability to successfully complete required fingerprinting and background clearances
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
