About the role

NSCS is looking for a Family Partner to join our Children's After School Program (CASP). This position is designed for someone with lived experience as a parent or direct caregiver of a youth in their family with significant social, emotional, behavioral health, medical or trauma-related needs. This position is part-time 20 hours per week. Bilingual Spanish required ($2,500 language differential)

What you'll bring

• Supervise children during program activities
• Intervene during a crisis using appropriate techniques including WELLE restraint.
• Drive program van and accompany other staff during ride.
• Complete daily documentation of children’s progress in the milieu.
• Perform duties as a Family Partner including maintaining contact with caregivers and conduct outreach to their families in their homes and communities as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by program manager.
• Education • Associates degree in a human service field and one year of related experience with target population OR
• High School diploma/GED and a minimum of two years relevant experience.
• Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs.
• Applicants must have at least one year of experience working with school age children
• Bilingual Spanish required (please indicate language skills on application)
• Valid Mass drivers license and offsite travel required.
