About the role
he U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of River Protection, Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP) requires support from qualified full-time general support services contractors (GSSC). The Waste Treatment Plant Performance Assurance (WPA) manager will oversee and provide direction for this work. The successful contractor will have responsibility for execution of the itemized work scope below:

- The contractor shall ensure that GSSC personnel supporting this task possess the following qualifications:
- Experience – Minimum of twenty (20) years of substantive experience and knowledge inspecting various construction activities, plus an additional 5 years of specialized experience performing construction site inspections on large and/or highly complex industrial federal nuclear and/or chemical processing facility construction projects.
- Possess related national inspection accreditation credentials in areas such as welding, civil, or electrical construction inspection areas, and have a demonstrated ability to clearly document inspections performed and accurately describe issues identified in terms of contract, authorization basis, and dangerous waste permit requirements.
- Knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Working level knowledge of knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
- Working level of knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures (e.g., ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, and DOE O 414.1C, National Electric Code, and NFPA 70E, etc., as appropriate)
- Business Tools – understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office.

- The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
