About the role
The Southern California News Group (SCNG) is seeking a Press Operator II to join the team. This role will introduce you to reel room operations and general tasks, such as run sheet comprehension and roll identification. You will be responsible for identifying and preparing rolls to run on the press, general housekeeping, press cleanup, and maintaining the necessary tools. Additionally, you will be introduced to setting ink, plating up the press, and webbing the press.
What you'll bring
- Prior production and/or manufacturing experience required
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, reach, and kneel repeatedly during an 8-hour shift
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be willing to submit and pass the necessary required checks
- prior printing press experience preferred
