Provides leadership and facilitation for the development and maintenance for nursing practice standards, policy and procedures, and serves as a consultant in the areas of clinical practice, education and research. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, and/or EXPERIENCE Nursing degree required and in addition to, a Master’s degree preferred. If not Master’s prepared, during employment with North Fulton Hospital must be in active pursuit thereof. Registered Nurse with prior experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Department environment preferred. Previous staff development / teaching experience required. REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS and ACLS certification required. ACLS / BLS Instructor certification preferred. CEN / CCRN certification preferred. OTHER REQUIRED SPECIAL SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE Excellent clinical skills, knowledge of adult learning principles, computer skills, creativity, excellent organizational / project skills, attention to detail, self-motivated and able to work independently. Proficient oral and written communication skills required to communicate in a clear and concise manner with hospital staff, patients, physicians and the public.
