About the role
Spicer Group is seeking an experienced Drinking Water / Wastewater leader to serve as Regional Manager for one of Michigan’s most established and opportunity‑rich markets: Great Lakes Bay, the Thumb, and Northeast Michigan. This role is designed for a professional who is deeply connected to the region and someone who understands the municipalities, utilities, regulators, funding programs, and stakeholders that shape infrastructure decisions across this part of the state. This role ensures profitability and financial health of the region, leads strategic planning efforts aligned with company goals, and drives growth through client engagement, business development, and cross‑selling opportunities. This position plays a key role in strengthening client relationships, expanding market presence, and ensuring technical and operational excellence across the region, while upholding Spicer Group’s core values and commitment to service quality. What you'll bring
- Bachelors degree in related discipline, or experience equivalent
- Significant experience in drinking water and wastewater engineering, planning, or infrastructure delivery
- Established relationships within Northeast Michigan
- Experience leading complex municipal or utility projects from planning through delivery
- A background working with public funding programs, regulatory agencies, and local decision‑makers
- Demonstrate competency in client management and engagement, project management, communication, financial management, and collaboration
- Proven ability to lead teams and mentor professionals
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to represent Spicer Group with clients, partners, and community stakeholders
- Ability to travel 50%
- Professional licensure (PE) and relevant certification(s) are strongly preferred
