About the role
ASCF is seeking a licensed or license-eligible Mental Health Clinician to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed screening, assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention to children and families impacted by abuse, neglect, and child welfare involvement. This role is essential to ensuring comprehensive, high-quality, trauma-informed care for every child and family served, while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team model.
What you'll bring
- Current licensure in the State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist), Registered Intern status with the Florida Board, or eligibility for licensure with active pursuit of Registered Intern status with the Florida Board
- Demonstrated familiarity with evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions for children and families
- Experience administering trauma screenings and assessment measures, conducting clinical interviews, and performing behavioral observation
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation in compliance with Medicaid standards
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team across the client’s clinical journey
- Knowledge of child abuse and neglect, the child welfare system, and adoption processes
- Preferred: Minimum of two years of post-master’s supervised experience providing intervention and treatment to children and families impacted by trauma
- Preferred: Certification or advanced training in evidence-based trauma treatments and frameworks (e.g., TF-CBT, EMDR, PCIT, ARC, MI, TBRI)
- Preferred: Experience working in community-based, group home, or residential settings
