About the role
A-TEK is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to serve as the lead technical architect supporting a federal project. The Cloud Architect will lead the assessment, design, documentation, and governance of complex cloud and hybrid enterprise environments while supporting systems engineering, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and technical modernization initiatives. The position serves as the senior technical advisor for cloud architecture, systems integration, and engineering activities supporting mission-critical systems. This position is on-site in Silver Spring, MD.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or other Engineering degree is required.
- Minimum 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or equivalent Azure/Google Cloud certification).
- Experience architecting solutions within AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with enterprise systems engineering methodologies and lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting Federal cloud modernization initiatives.
- Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), FedRAMP, and FIPS 199 security requirements.
- Experience producing architecture documentation and technical roadmaps.
