About the role

CARIAN is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our corporate Accounting team in Somerset, NJ. The Accounting Specialist will support general ledger activity, account reconciliations, customer invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll-related processes, expense reporting, and month-end close. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable working with accounting systems and Excel, and able to manage recurring deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. What you'll bring

• 2+ years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or similar accounting support experience
• equivalent relevant accounting experience will be considered.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or another accounting or ERP system
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities in an organized manner
• Ability to handle payroll, financial, and employee information with appropriate confidentiality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
• NetSuite experience is preferred
