About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller is responsible for directing the Company's financial activity, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost accounting, internal controls, auditing, cash flow management, banking relationships, and regulatory reporting. This role is ideal for an experienced financial leader who combines strong manufacturing cost accounting capability with sound judgment, high ethical standards, systems thinking, and the ability to develop people. The successful candidate will support Open Book Management and help strengthen accountability and employee ownership across the organization.
What you'll bring

- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or an MBA
- an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Ten years of financial management experience, including professional experience in an organizational management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, manufacturing cost accounting, and business planning.
- Current knowledge of financial and accounting computer applications, with advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Word skills.
- Proven ability to evaluate the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and make sound decisions in complex situations where no precedent exists.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, including team selection, coaching, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and organizational skills
- able to communicate clearly and persuasively at all levels and serve as a trusted educator and mentor.
- High ethical standards, professional judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Experience with negotiations, contracts, report writing, business correspondence, and procedure development.
