About the role
VPM is seeking Licensed Therapists to provide short-term, school-based tele-therapy to K–12 students across Virginia through a state-funded initiative in partnership with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) .
What you'll bring
- School year: must be able to accommodate sessions in 7:00–9:30 AM and 4:00–8:00 PM windows
- Clinicians are required to maintain a minimum of 15 client hours per week
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, or school-aged youth
- Proficiency in evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, solution-focused, narrative therapy)
- Strong time management, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care
- Self-directed with strong virtual presence and professionalism in remote settings
- A private, quiet workspace suitable for professional work
- Reliable high-speed internet and ability to use required systems/tools
- Comfort working independently while staying connected through remote collaboration
- Prior experience in school-based therapy, community mental health, or tele-health preferred
- Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis response a plus
