About the role

You will be part of Mission Australia Housing Tasmania Team helping create safe, functional and welcoming homes for tenants.

What you'll bring

• Relevant experience in general property maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years in a residential or facilities environment
• Trade qualification to Certificate II level, or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to undertake a broad range of basic maintenance tasks using hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and address maintenance issues effectively
• Ability to plan and manage workloads, prioritising tasks in a dynamic environment
• Customer-focused approach with experience supporting tenants, including those experiencing vulnerability
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and make sound decisions on site
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic computer literacy, including experience using systems to record and track work
• Understanding of WHS practices and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
• Current driver’s licence
• Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
