About the role
A Day in the Life The Systems Architect provides advanced technical leadership for the design, integration, support, and optimization of complex healthcare information systems. Working independently and in collaboration with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders, this role analyzes business needs, designs scalable solutions, and drives system improvements that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. As part of the Cerner Applications team, the Systems Architect supports, builds, and maintains critical workflows within the Cerner Millennium electronic health record (EHR). Responsibilities include system configuration, integration, testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements across inpatient and ambulatory settings. This role also serves as a technical mentor, providing guidance to team members and leading large-scale projects and system initiatives.
What you'll bring
