About the role

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION • Responsible for managing facility repairs and maintenance (performing major and minor repairs of all buildings) • Ensures a clean and safe environment and can perform routine safety checks on equipment, devices and tools • Performs routine/preventative maintenance on facility equipment (compressors, blast, paint, scales, cranes, FLT’s, Loaders, etc.) • Documenting/tracking of maintenance on facility equipment (compressors, loaders, forklifts, etc.) • Ability to perform minor electrical repairs and maintenance on building and equipment • Ability to perform HVAC and plumbing repairs and maintenance on building and equipment • Wage is negotiable and DOE/Q. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • 2-3 years of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical experience or a combination of formal training and hands-on experience • Flexible, adaptable and works well within a team environment • Self-motivated, self-driven • Knows how to use hand tools and power tools • Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills • Must have a valid driver’s license • Ability to work standing on hard surface (e.g. concrete) for up to 12 hours per day in hot or cold environment. • Good hand and eye coordination. • Good visual acuity. • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch or stoop to perform various functions of this position. • Ability to reach with hands and arms and able to lift &/or move 50 pounds. • Ability to work independently. • Must be able to read and speak English. • Ability to understand basic math and measurements. • Additional hours may be required outside of normal business hours or as set forth by the demands of the position; ability to work one weekend day per month for preventative maintenance purposes. Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM Friday 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM *One Hour for Lunch
