About the role
ALCOVA Mortgage Loan Officers are experienced and passionate mortgage professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, originating residential and government mortgages while providing the highest level of customer service. Loan Officers are responsible for educating, advising, and assessing financial needs and eligibility for various loan products, while guiding borrowers through the mortgage loan process. In addition, Loan Officers are responsible for developing relationships with referral partners to foster business growth. This position is primarily field-based and requires customarily and regularly working away from the employer's place of business to develop business relationships, generate mortgage loan opportunities, and meet with customers and referral partners. Occasional administrative work is performed in an office or remote work setting.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in the mortgage industry is required
- Must be actively and appropriately licensed as a Loan Officer and possess National Mortgage Licensing & Registry (NMLS) registration under the Safe Act of 2008
- Strong pipeline management skills, with an ability to prioritize complex and diversified duties
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficient in mathematics and financial principles with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter, self-reliant, highly motivated and dependable
- Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new computer systems and programs
