About the role

Looking for a Senior VP of Product Engineering who can play a critical role by leading multiple engineering teams, by shaping the technical direction and execution of suite of innovative products/platforms designed around Analytics & Insights for the Biopharma companies to be commercially successful. Requires a strategic thinker and technical leader who can effectively collaborate with stakeholders, product strategy owner, align technical strategies with business goals, and drive the development of cutting-edge analytics capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering efforts for various products & platforms. This role requires deep expertise in both software engineering and the pharma commercial analytics landscape, with a focus on leveraging data to drive insights. The successful candidate will report into CTO, working closely with cross-functional teams, including offshore development partners, to ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions. This role demands a proactive approach to innovation and problem-solving, with the ability to adapt to the rapidly evolving technological and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, especially in web application development and its relevant technologies, with a focus on product development and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial analytics and customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources such as prescription data, sales data, engagement data, electronic health records (EHRs), and claims data.
  • Ability to leverage these data sets to generate insights and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the pharma industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Background in data science or machine learning, with hands-on experience in developing recommendation systems.
  • Experience working in a startup environment or leading a product from inception to market.
