Benefits: • Insurance • Health • Dental • Vision • Life • Short Term Disability • 401K with 3% match • Paid Time Off • Continuing Education Stipend Qualifications: Required: • Two (2) years of maintenance and custodial experience • Ability to: • Pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check • Qualify for SFA’s commercial automobile insurance • A current valid driver’s license Skills required: • Knowledge of: • General carpentry and repair • Methods of cleaning and preserving floors, walls, and fixtures • Occupational hazards and standard safety practices • Common janitorial equipment (i.e. broom, ladder, step stool), motorized vehicles and power equipment (i.e vacuums, common power tools, yard equipment) • Ability to: • Use power, and hand, tools • Work independently in the absence of supervision • Build good rapport with shareholders, clients and staff • Excellent organizational and time management skills Job responsibilities: • Inspects and identifies facilities, equipment or machines in need of repair • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs • Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures • Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of facilities • Orders supplies and materials needed for cleaning, repairs, and maintenance • Primary functions require enough physical ability and mobility to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach and twist; regularly push, pull, lift, and/or carry light to moderately heavy objects and occasionally objects over 45 pounds; requires an ability to operate various equipment
