About the role
Bryn Mawr Trust, a WSFS Company, provides locally managed and collaborative wealth management solutions, including a broad array of planning and advisory services, investment management, trust and estate planning, brokerage and investment services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients through multiple integrated businesses. The Associate Financial Advisor partners with Advisors and Senior Advisors to deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment solutions to mass affluent clients with assets under $2 million. This role conducts client discovery conversations, identifies financial needs, and develops needs-based recommendations to help clients achieve their financial goals. The Associate Financial Advisor also deepens client relationships through referrals generated within the branches while providing a high level of client service and support. Designed for individuals developing advisory skills, client relationship management, and technical knowledge, this position serves as a pathway to a Financial Advisor role. Over time, the role assumes increasing responsibility for client relationships, business development, and production results.
What you'll bring
- Must have the ability to obtain FINRA Series 65 and Life & Health licenses within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to complete CFP certification requirements within 2 years of hire.
- Must have general knowledge of investment principles, securities processing and clearing, custodian platforms, portfolio management systems, and client relationship management tools.
- Must have 1 to 3 years of experience in a support role, or client facing role, or sales in a financial services firm.
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and basic numeracy are required.
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and a polished, client-focused demeanor.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented advisory environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to complete assignments accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Must have no disclosures on Form U-4.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics or a business-related major is highly preferred.
