About the role
As a Real Estate Tax Manager , you’ll lead the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services to real estate investors, developers, and closely held entities. In this role, you’ll oversee partnership tax engagements, review complex allocations, and drive tax planning initiatives while partnering closely with clients and internal teams. You’ll take ownership of managing client relationships, coordinating engagement teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality work. This role offers significant exposure to complex partnership structures, real estate transactions, and technical tax issues, while providing the opportunity to mentor team members and contribute to the growth of the practice.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
- 5+ years of tax experience with a focus on real estate, partnerships, and pass-through entities
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of accountability, managing engagements, and delivering against deadlines and client expectations
- Strong understanding of real estate tax concepts, including partnership allocations, basis, depreciation, and transaction structuring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear, client-friendly guidance
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- comfortable navigating ambiguity, building relationships, and driving results
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe, with experience using tax preparation and research software
- CPA or JD preferred, but not required
- preferably within a public accounting environment or real estate-focused practice
