About the role

The Medical Assistant III - Care Services Coordinator, under general supervision and within the regulatory scope of practice, assists in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting.  This position may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections, perform skin tests, administer oral medication, perform venipunctures, and perform skin punctures for blood specimens.

What you'll bring

• High School graduate or GED, along with a Medical Assistant diploma, is required.
• California phlebotomist license
• Minimum of 4 years of experience
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
