About the role
Custodian/Event Setup Position Calvary Church, Lancaster, PA Title: Custodian / Event Setup Status: Part-time, Hourly, Non-exempt, Support Staff Focus: To support and serve the ministries of Calvary by providing custodial and event setups. Working Relationship: Accountable to the Senior Pastor and Director of Facilities Services, with direct supervision to the Custodial Supervisor for their responsibilities. Qualifications • Good people skills • Organizational abilities • Ability to deal with a wide range of ministry needs • Ability to work with little supervision, in a fast-paced work environment. • Basic mathematical, reading, reasoning, speaking and writing skills. Values and Beliefs • Must be a professing Christian who affirms the Calvary Church doctrinal basis, vision and values and philosophy of ministry • Must regularly attend Calvary Church Responsibilities: Provide a Clean, Comfortable, and Safe setting for all those occupying the building Primary Area • Perform routine cleaning of office and/or classroom areas as assigned • Perform routine cleaning of rest rooms as assigned • Perform routine cleaning of carpets and hard floors • Set up rooms with tables and chairs per instructions • Perform other setup tasks as requested • Set up classroom tables and chairs as needed for Sunday ABFs • Weekend schedule/availability required Secondary Area • Assist with All Staff projects as they arise Work Schedule and Time Allotment • Work schedule: Part-time, flexible related to programs and projects. • Sunday responsibilities • To be managed and accounted for in cooperation with his supervisor Physical and Mental Requirements : • Medium work requirement work requirements (lifting 50-100 lbs.), prolonged standing, with constant (more than 2/3 of time) walking, bending/stooping and carrying/lifting, reaching, climbing, occasionally outside in differing weather conditions. • Basic mathematical, reading, reasoning, speaking and writing skills. • Creative thinking, conceptual, collaborative, and listening skills. Basic computer skills required.
